Apothecia: 1-2 mm in diameter, with conspicuous membranaceous, dentate margin, hymenium orange to red
Asci: 8-spored, spores uniseriate
Ascospores: ellipsoid (18)20-24(25) x 12-14(15) µm, smooth
Host: Grimmia pulvinata
Habitat: sunny base-rich rocks and walls, in cushions of Grimmia pulvinata
