Ascomata: †300–490 x 220–350 µm, setae predominantly in the upper part of the ascomata, dense, colourless, straight or somewhat bent, blunt, thickwalled, sometimes with strongly reduced lumina, aseptate (if short) or with up to 3(4) septa, †(25–)35–130(–160) x (4–)5–8(–10) µm (at the base)
Paraphyses: filamentous, straight or curved, flexuous, without or with few ramifications in the lower part, (in H2O) *(2.1–)2.7–4.6 µm thick, narrower at the apex, (in H2O) *1.5–2.7 µm
Asci: unitunicate, cylindrical, rarely claviform (if ascospores are biseriate), (2-)3- or 4-(5-, 6-) spored, (in H2O) †(110–)125–155(–163) x (13–)15–18(–21) µm, ascospores uniseriate or obliquely lying in the asci, sometimes biseriate, occupying most of the ascus
Ascospores: narrowly ellipsoidal, sometimes slightly curved, colourless, 1-celled, (in H2O) *36–65 x (8–)10–15(–16.5) µm [49.4 x 11.9 µm], Q=2.9–5.7 [4.19], with (1–)2–4 large, globose, light yellow oil bodies,(in H2O) *3.6–8.1(–9.5) µm in diameter, accompanied by several smaller oil bodies, majority of ascospore volume occupied by 1–2(4) large weakly refractive vacuoles, epispore covered by inconspicuous warts (in CB) †0.3–1(–1.2) µm in diameter and †0.1–0.5 µm high, ornamentation denser close to the poles
Host: Lethocolea pansa (Taylor) G.A.M. Scott & K.G. Beckm.
Infectious structures: infects leaf and stem cells, appressoria seen from above elliptical, sessile, or usually shortly stalked, rarely in intercalary position, †(14–)16–23(–25) x 11–15(–16) µm
Habitat: seasonally flooded riverbank
Distribution: Australia
