Apothecia: 1.4-3 mm broad, disc-shaped to cupulate with a prominent, fimbriate-dentate margin, hymenium orange, yellowish if rehydrated
Asci: cylindric 250-300 x 20-30 µm, 8-spored, spores uniseriate
Paraphyses: filiform, gradually widened to 5-7 µm at tip, upper cells containing many vacuoles with orange-red pigment
Ascospores: globose, (12.8-)15-18 µm, ornamentation consisting of isolated, rounded warts, 0.5-1.7 µm high and 0.3-1.5 µm broad
Hosts: Philonotis fontana
Habitat: on moist, sandy soil among shoots of Philonotis fontana
Distribution: Austria, Czech Republic, France, Iceland, Norway, Spain, Switzerland
